John Brown

John Brown was born in 1931. His sculpture training began at Hornsey School of Art and continued under Howard Bate R.A. at Hampstead Garden Suburb Institute. John Brown is a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors, his works are mainly based on the human figure - either realistic or abstract, and are cast in bronze or bronze resin. His stone carvings are mostly in British stones and range in size from those suitable for interiors to larger scale pieces carved specially for the garden, patio or workplace.

John Brown's sculpture is about human relationships and emotions, expressed in a simplified abstracted way, provoking thought and discussion, as well as visual impact. Themes very often run through a number of completed works as in 'Love of the Family', 'Family at Play', and 'Joy of the Family
