Jim Bond

Jim Bond was born in Perth in 1967 and did a foundation course at Cumbria College of Art and Design. Whilst studying for a BA Hons in Jewellery at Middlesex University, he had a 3 month placement in Jerusalem and it was here that he developed his work towards sculpture. Jim Bond has been creating interactive kinetic sculpture and sensory environments for the past twenty years creating work which activates when approached causing a wide range of reactions and emotive responses. The human struggle to exist and the repetitive cycles of life are a constant theme in his work which is lightened by moments of humour.
